Yes, we should not restrict the contribution by $20 minimum.
When there are more than 6000+ registered members without contributing, for sure there will be several members who may think in future ( its my hope) to contribute in small steps before they get ready to contribute in big way.
Atleast it is my hope. I dont know what those registered members are waiting for. May be they want president Bush to become a member of core IV team. Even then, I dont think they will take a penny out from their wallet if they dont have the right attitude and desire to work as a team.

We are going to kick start a huge "Sign & Dine" campaign in Northern California to support Administrative Fix effort. This is the time to show your support.
This is what we need:
- We need you to join us and show support for IV at a social event this Sunday(01/20) @ 11:30 a.m. in Sunnyvale. PM me or join Nor. Cal IV Yahoo group for details regarding address of the venue. We will have the Admin Fix letters ready for you to sign. So come and put your signatures and we will have some tasty snacks ready for you to eat***
- We need volunteers to call other IV members and motivate them to join the Admin Fix letter campaign
- We need volunteers to do some foot work in areas that have high legal immigrant traffic. I have done this, trust me, it is exciting work. We will provide you with flyers etc, we just need your time.
- Any other way you can help

AFAIK, oneway ticket originating US can't be bought in India. You need to cancel ticket, and buy a return (both way) ticket.
Usually tickets bought in India is cheaper - so there are these restrictions.
It is possible to buy a ticket from US for a journey originationg from India. Airlines passes instruction and Tickets are issues in India.
Rules might have changed, but this was latest information from my side.

My I 140 got approved in 2006. And my lawyer got approval notice. He also gave me copy of it. I just registered my I 140 case number on USCIS site. I was stunned to find out the status that
Current Status: Notice Returned as Undeliverable.
On September 19, 2006, the post office returned the notice we last sent you on this case I140 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER as undeliverable. This may have serious effects on processing this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update your mailing address for this notice to be re-sent.
I immediately contacted my lawyer. He said that Since He have original approved copy of I140 , I should not worry about it.
I tried even contacting IO. But IO told me that regarding I140 only employer or attorney can call to discuss further. She didn't give me any answers.

I noticed a flaw in GC process with respect to “Ability to pay” and “AC21”
Here are the definitions
Ability to pay - Suppose a company files for I-140, it has to prove its ability to pay the proffered wage to the beneficiary.
AC21 states that an employee can change jobs to a similar position if I-485 is pending for more than 180 days. This could happen when I-485 is pending for more than 180 days or after its approval.
Let’s consider the following scenario
1) Company A files for I-140 and I-485 concurrently and proves its ability to pay the proffered wage to the beneficiary at I-140 stage.
2) I-140 gets approved and I-485 is pending for more than 180 days.
3) The employee quits employer A and remains idle (or) becomes self employed (or) joins employer B in a different position.
4) During the I-485 adjudication he provides an offer letter from employer C with similar roles, responsibilities and wage as the proposed GC position with Company A and says that he intends to work with employer C after I-485 approval.
5) I-485 gets approved.
Here is the flaw. USCIS doesn’t check if employer C has the ability to pay the proffered wage to the beneficiary. All it asks for is an offer letter with wage, duties and annual salary.
What if company C is running in loss and not in a position to pay the proffered wage.
Why should USCIS make a big deal out of ability to pay when it’s not checked across all employers where the beneficiary intends to work?

How does AC21 will come into play when a person files I-485 with the letter from employer that employment will be availabe once green card is issued.
Does person has to join the employer after green card is issued ? As Green card will be availabe only after 180 days of filing.

After frustrated with the consultant company I joined a full time job. and now am 5'th year of H1B. The LC will be applied after 1 to 3 month(big company and there laws as you have to complete 1 year and then adv etc etc)
So If the bill passes I even can't apply for LC and so force to go back after 6 years.
Now as everybody is ready to file for 485 nobody cares about this CIR bill but me only.
Are there ANY people left like me?

There are more than 100,000 emails and more than 40,000 paper letters coming to Obama every day. I doubt, if all get acknowledged after somone reads them. Some sort of filtering process has to handle that task. With security I meant, checking on originating IP addresses against their watch-lists, certain words in the text, etc. As per reports, Obams is given some 10 letters (may be some emails) everyday to read.

I am a UK citizen i came to the US in 2008 (aug) when i married my USC wife,i then returned to the UK until Dec 2008 and have been in the US since under VWP,my i94 ran out in march 2009.
I am aware of the "right" way things should have been done, but here i am illegal still with my wife and children (she has 4) i need to try and salvage something out of this meaning i just want to live normal with my family work just like a regular guy get a driving license etc.
Now i have a clean background check from the UK..1 down many to go isuspect...my wife having 4 children would never have been able to prove affit david of support least not on paper (she is a student and graduates as a RN in may of this year) at which point she would be able to earn enough to do this.
Through all this we have managed to survive as a family its hard with only one working but we get help from her parents and family.
$64,000000 question what should i do?
